Grounding Vision In Something Bigger Than Yourself
Share
Not just dreams. Not just ideas. Not just possibilities.
Vision.
And honestly? One thing I have learned is that vision needs grounding.
Because without grounding, dreams can become:
- emotionally inflated
- overwhelming
- performative
- unrealistic
- disconnected from sustainability
And honestly? I do not want to build my life only from emotion anymore.
That is why I keep returning to:
- scripture
- wisdom
- reflection
- accountability
- observation
- stewardship
Because I want to make sure what I am building produces:
- peace
- growth
- sustainability
- alignment
- meaningful impact
Not just emotional excitement.
For years, I had many ideas. And honestly? I still do.
But now I understand something important.
Vision is not only about possibility. It is also about:
- timing
- stewardship
- sustainability
- wisdom
- readiness
- completion
And honestly? That awareness has changed how I move.
I no longer want to emotionally chase every new idea.
I want to:
- finish what I started
- build intentionally
- move with wisdom
- create meaningful impact
- remain aligned with God
- and leave room for peace in the process
Because honestly? A vision that constantly overwhelms your nervous system may not be sustainable.
And I believe God is teaching me: that sustainable growth often moves slower than emotional excitement.
But honestly? It also lasts longer.
