I Stopped Checking Who Was Watching

I Stopped Checking Who Was Watching

For a long time, I was consistent in private.

I would write.
I would reflect.
I would grow.

But I wasn’t always sharing.

Not because I didn’t have anything to say—but because somewhere in the process, it became about how it would be received.

Two days ago, I made a shift.

I decided that my responsibility is not who reads it.
My responsibility is to show up and post it.

So that’s what I’ve been doing.

I write.
I publish it on my website.
I share it on Instagram.
I share it on Facebook.
And then I leave it there.

No going back to check who saw it.
No measuring if it “did well.”
No adjusting based on imagined reactions.

Just consistency.

It reminded me of when I started doing 100 squats every morning.

At first, I talked about it.
“I did my 100.”
“I did my 100.”

And then one day, I stopped talking about it.

Why?

Because it became who I am.

That’s what I’m building now—but with my voice.

I’m not here to perform.
I’m not here to convince.
I’m not here to be validated.

I’m here to show up.

I’m a connector.
I’m a storyteller.

And part of my purpose is to take what I’ve lived, what I’ve learned, and share it in a way that someone else might recognize themselves.

So this is me—showing up.

Not for the response.
Not for the numbers.

But because consistency is who I am becoming.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” — Colossians 3:23

If you’re like me, maybe this is your reminder:

You don’t need to wait until it’s perfect.
You don’t need to know how it will land.

You just need to show up—and let it be seen.
