What If You Don't Need Another Credential?
Share
Are you seeking knowledge, or are you seeking permission?
I love learning.
I always have.
Classes.
Workshops.
Certifications.
Training programs.
Books.
Podcasts.
I've spent years collecting information.
And honestly, much of it has been beneficial.
But there is a question I've had to ask myself recently:
Am I learning because I need more knowledge?
Or am I learning because I want more permission?
Sometimes another class is exactly what we need.
Sometimes another class is a way to delay what we already know we should do.
Knowledge feels productive.
Action feels vulnerable.
Knowledge is private.
Action is visible.
Knowledge protects us from failure.
Action exposes us to growth.
One of the greatest lessons I've learned recently is that not every next step requires a new beginning.
Sometimes it requires finishing what we've already started.
Sometimes the next breakthrough is hidden inside consistency.
The goal is not to stop learning.
The goal is to make sure learning is serving growth instead of replacing it.
Reflection Question
What have you already learned that is waiting to be applied?
Scripture
James 1:22
"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says."
