You Cannot Sprint a Season That Requires Endurance

I used to think everything needed to move fast.

If I started something, I wanted to finish it quickly.

If I had a goal, I wanted to see results immediately.

And if things felt slow?

I thought I was doing something wrong.

But lately, I’ve been in a different kind of season.

One that doesn’t respond to rushing.

One that doesn’t reward pressure.

One that requires me to stay… not speed up.

And that’s been uncomfortable.

Because sprinting feels productive.

Endurance feels quiet.

Sprinting gives you quick results.

Endurance asks you to keep going—without immediate proof.

And I’m realizing something I didn’t want to accept at first:

Some seasons aren’t about acceleration.

They’re about consistency.

Showing up when you don’t feel like it.

Continuing when nothing looks different.

Trusting that something is happening—even when you can’t see it yet.

That kind of growth isn’t loud.

It doesn’t get celebrated right away.

It doesn’t look impressive on the outside.

But it builds something deeper.

Stronger.

More stable.

More lasting.

And I’m learning to respect that.

To stop trying to rush what’s meant to be developed.

To stop forcing progress that needs time.

Because you cannot sprint…

a season that was designed for endurance.
